It is the nature of dyed materials that there can be variations from one production run to another, this can also result in variations of colour from one width to another (we always try and dispatch ribbons with as close as possible colour match). We strongly advise that you purchase the volume of ribbon you require to finish your project, as we cannot guarantee that further purchases will match previously supplied ribbon. As with any dyed products please test against the material to be used on. We consider the ribbons to be colour fast and have been against materials we have checked against.

The pictures we take of our products are taken in as natural a light as possible. However, different monitor settings can make colours look different to the actual ribbon, and you are strongly advised to purchase single metres of ribbon as samples if a precise colour is vital to your project.

Please note that several manufacturers may use the same colour name for their ribbon. These ribbons may not necessarily match. If you are ordering several different types of ribbon in the same colour, you are strongly advised to contact us for advice on compatibility.

How do I order?

Ordering online

Ordering from Ribbon Store XL is easy. Once you have located a product you are interested in purchasing, you may select the quantity and then add the item to your cart by clicking the shopping cart button. The item will then be transferred to your online shopping cart.

When you are finished making your selections, click on "my cart" on the top left of your screen in order to begin the checkout process. At this time, follow the prompts regarding payment and shipping information to complete the process.

Ordering by e-mail

If you prefer to order offline or if you have special requests or questions? You can place your order, special requests and questions by e-mail (info@ribbonstore-xl.co.uk).

Please mention in your e-mail a detailed product description of the products you would like to order. For orders by e-mail, you will then receive an order confirmation containing the order number, order amount and payment instructions.

How do I pay?

What payment options are available at Ribbon Store XL?

We accept payment by Paypal and bank transfer. During the checkout process you can select the payment option that fits best.

Your order is dispatched as soon as the payment is credited to our account, which can take several days for internation bank transfers.

The payment must be received within 10 days of the order date. If not, the order will be cancelled.

How do I know how much to pay?

For each product the price is displayed excluding VAT and excluding shipment cost. On the final invoice, 21% VAT is charged.

Do I have to pay VAT?

Yes, the VAT is 21%. This is the Dutch VAT rate, as Ribbon Store XL is based in the Netherlands.

As Ribbon Store XL is based in the Netherlands, for EU registered companies (outside the Netherlands) with a VAT number, the VAT can be reversed to the recipient of the goods (using the reversed charge mechanism). This means that no (0%) VAT is charged on the invoice. If you would like to reverse VAT, please provide us your company name and your VAT number during the order process.


What are the shipment costs?

For all orders over € 50 (excl. VAT), we offer free shipment within the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
For all orders over € 100 (excl. VAT), we offer free shipment within Europe.

For orders below € 50 within the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, orders below € 100 within Europe and orders in non-European countries, shipment costs will be charged.

In case your order cannot be shipped as letter, it will be shipped as package. All orders over € 150 (excl. VAT) are shipped as package including track & trace.

Ribbon Store XL cannot be held responsible for loss, damage or delay of your order during the transport by PostNL and/or DHL.

What is the delivery time?

We try our best to dispatch your order within 24 hours as long as cleared payment is received. Orders for which the payment is received before 2 p.m. (GMT+1) are in general dispatched on the same day (working days).

What if a product is not in stock?

The products in our webshop are in stock in our own warehouse and can be delivered immediately, unless otherwise stated.

If products are temporarily out of stock, we can inform you by e-mail on the product availability.

Circumstances beyond our control

Ribbon Store XL is not able to fulfill orders in case Ribbon Store XL is hindered by circumstances beyond our control. Circumstances beyond our control include at least severe business interruption at Ribbon Store XL and transport stagnation.


Do I have to register to shop at Ribbon Store XL?

During the checkout procedure you are asked to register your personal information (name, address and e-mail) to enable us to deliver your order.


What is the return policy?

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, it can be returned to us within 14 days. You will be offered a full refund, incl. the cost of shipping/handling. The cost of returning the products are for your own account.

Please contact us to let us know to expect the return. Please include the invoice number so speed up the return process and also put your address on the package.

Only unused and undamaged products can be returned.
